Here are a few pics from the 2009 University of Minnesota Staff Appreciation Day at TCF Bank Stadium. The new stadium is beautiful! All of the people working the event were very friendly and helped employees get into the right lines to get free food, giveaways and tours. Thanks again to the University for putting on a great event and letting employees see the new stadium!

Here's a time-lapsed video I shot of the line of University of Minnesota Staff waiting in line for their free stadium seat cushion on Staff Appreciation Day 2009. The line at TCF Bank Stadium began at Section 109 and ended at Section 129.

I just downloaded These Are My Twisted Words, the newest single from Radiohead. The British heavy-hitters released the track for free on their DEAD AIR SPACE. Here's a direct link to the download page. It doesn't look like much, but you can grab the .zip file which includes the .mp3, .pdf to make your own artwork, a .tif of the actual art you can use for iTunes and a .txt file of song credits.

I happened to notice a tiny little link on MSN today after check my email: Little Tikes Recalls Toy After Nail Lodged in Youth's Throat".
 
The headline was shocking, so I clicked on it. After reading a few lines I realized that I had this same product at home. WOW! Upon arriving home, I double-checked the toy and found the exact nails that were being recalled.
 
I hopped onto Little Tikes website and found the recall page. While their site is a little hard to navigate, I will give Little Tikes a huge round of applause in that I did not have to send the item back, show proof of purchase or pay shipping. I only needed to enter my name, address and phone number. No money changed hands. I filled out the form and Little Tikes sends me a replacement which has been deemed safe.
 
If you have any Little Tikes toys in your home, I strongly suggest you check to see if you have the recalled items and throw them away immediately and fill out the form for a free replacement.

If you were following me on Twitter last week, you saw my updates while I was waiting for new tires. I sat through one of those Ginsu Knife demos...you know where the guy cuts a tomato, bread, a hammer, a tin can and then the tomato again? Then he puts together a package of knives for "WAY LESS than he should". It was entertaining to watch. If you were there, I was the over-enthusiastic guy up front. I wanted to encourage the poor guy, he has to do this shame schtick all day, every day. The good news was, I received a FREE paring knife just for watching (a $5.99 value)!

Here's a picture from back in the day of Shepard Fairey of Obey Giant fame and myself at his show opening at OxOp in Minneapolis.
This is pre-Obama celebrity status for Shepard. When you could still buy his prints online with reasonable ease. Shep was super-cool, down to earth and said hi to everyone who approached him.
